Volvo Penta V8 300 With DPS-B Drive Stops After Being Put Into Astern

Ben isn’t curtsying to her majesty Regal 2300 he’s investigating why this Volvo Penta V8 300 petrol engine and DPS-B drive unit stopped dead in its tracks after being put hard into astern.

Following a thorough check Ben saw that the engine cylinders were full to the brim with water. Having removed the liquid and the oil replaced he was keen to make sure everything was how it should be so more tests will be carried out including a compression test, the engine will also be run under load and Ben will finish up by changing the catalytic converters.
