Ross went aboard a Najad 380 last week, here in blustery, Brightlingsea Essex.
The customer had lost all power to the engine panel and was unable to start the Yanmar 4JH4-E engine. Rather helpfully, the customer had left a little note for Ross with the burnt out loom.
After a swift diagnosis, the engine and extension loom were declared way past resuscitation and had to be replaced. Once everything was back together, it was clear the alternator had also failed and likewise the oil pressure switch. Ross also replaced those and then away sailed our customer.
