This serene looking vessel with a VW 150-5 engine, wouldn’t issue fuel under pressure. After removing the fuel pump it was then sent along to specialist fuel gurus for investigation.
They found extensive gum deposits inside the pump, which had been caused by the degradation of the fuel. A very messy business.
The only solution was to rebuild the fuel pump. The job was completed by Simon setting up the complex timing system. Our customer could then go on their way.
