Yamaha F40FET Outboard Water Leak

The Chelsea Flower Show’s designer Kazuyuki Ishihara wouldn’t even get a silver gilt next to this urban garden water instillation by renowned outboard engineer Ross.

He visited Mersea Island yesterday to attend to two Yamaha engines. The first a Yamaha FT200FET fitted to a Jeanneau passed its service with flying colours. The second engine a F40FET fitted to a RIB, had a water leak which Ross thought might be due to the power heads but luckily was attributed to a hose which had popped off.

He also adjusted the throttle linkages and cleaned the vapour separator. Ross wins gold.
