In the South East of Essex today, a routine service on a race support vessel uncovered hurdles of a different ilk.
Our engineer discovered a fractured exhaust fitting on the port Yanmar 6LP-DTE engine which connects the turbo charger to the injection elbow.
A newly machined flange was then fitted to solve this nautical debilitation.
James Cracknell can now rest easy as there will be one less boat with it’s oars out, downstream of Putney Bridge this weekend.
